The Japanese society has peculiarity of its own . This peculiarity was influenced by various factors which involve  history, traditions, language, and culture. The same variables that give the Japanese society its peculiarity mystify the  image of this society worldwide. The Japanese attribute the inability to understand them by other cultures  worldwide to the two hundred years of isolation from the outer world.
These variables played a crucial role in limiting he spread of the Japanese cinema abroad. Also, these variables  contributed to the lack of understanding and appreciation of the Japanese cinema by foreign audiences especially during its early years.” 1
The Japanese cinema enables us to see the struggle between the old and the new .
Furthermore , it shows the audience how the new generation rejects the negative characteristics of Japanese  ersonality, and it criticizes some social phenomena .
