Research Involving Human Subjects
Before conducting research involving human subjects, approval must be obtained from the Scientific Research Ethics Board (IRB) or any other relevant ethics committee to ensure compliance with both domestic and international standards, in accordance with the principles outlined in the Helsinki Declaration of 1975, as revised in 2013 https://www.wma.net/what-we-do/medical-ethics/declaration-of-helsinki/
The publication of this type of research will not be reduced without reference to documented approvals from the responsible authorities.
Ethical Guidelines for the Use of Animals in Research:
- Studies involving animals must adhere to internationally accepted standards.
-The authors must obtain prior approval from the IACUC or an equivalent ethics committee.
- The name of the IACUC (Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee) Committee or Ethics Committee must be provided, along with the relevant permit numbers during the application process.
- Manuscripts describing research that involves non-human experiments must include details regarding animal care, encompassing information about housing, nutrition, and environmental enrichment. This information should be provided by a veterinarian or another scientist who is trained and experienced in the appropriate care, handling, and use of the species under study.
