This research aims to take advantage of geometric and plant patterns in wall art of “Al-Qatt Al Asiri" to enrich a woven work that has traditions and modernity and employs all capabilities and textile styles. A contemporary vision for woven work was achieved in fashion lines by reframing it in modern shapes while maintaining its traditional decoration and keeping its most distinctive features in order to enhance loyalty to native culture and preserve local values and heritage from extinction. This research followed the analytical descriptive approach to identify the principles of al-Qatt, to analyze its basic elements, and rephrase it to get insight to enrich the woven work. Additionally, this applied study used different techniques, raw materials and styles to execute and design ten samples of woven work and deploy them in fashion lines. The study results concluded that there is a significant correlation between the independent variables (the decorative design, conceptual values and deployment in fashion lines) and the final evaluation. According to field experts there is a possibility of achieving a modern vision of woven work inspired by the decorative wall art “Al-Qatt” by developing different techniques, raw materials, and textile styles then merchandising them in different fashion lines. The study recommended the that additional attention be paid to heritage art study for its great importance in encouraging appreciation and preservation of traditional local art.
