Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to explore and observe the technique of writing the Monodrama through studying and analyzing a monodrama sample, namely the “Fifth String Elegy” written by Jordanian dramatist Mofleh Al-Adowan. The ambition of this essay is to acknowledge and identify the used technique and to show its effects on the monodramatic text, both negative and positive.

The Researcher followed the descriptive analytical method in order to clarify the elements of the monodramatic text, by focusing on the dialogue and author instructions, and following the developments that take place in the theatrical structure and the dramatic transformations of the incident and character, to the dramatic conclusion down and the message posed by the author.

The researcher hopes to benefit from this research dramatists in general and students of theatrical arts and even directors and actors.
