Abstract

Abstract

This paper aims to investigate the possibilities of proposing some indicators of design using the Aesthetics of graffiti art in the contemporary interior space. The paper follows the descriptive analytical approach through the description and analysis of the graffiti art applications both technically and functionally in a contemporary internal space. It also follows the experimental method by doing two practical experiments with the first level students in interior design at the University of Petra for the year 2009-2010 and 2011-2012 at the Interior Design Department. Students used three phases of methods; abstraction; overlay, and simplification in different forms. Then, the best five projects from each experiment were used to solve the problem. as a justification, aesthetic and functional, through the cutter used in the domestic blank.  Finally, the researcher recommends that the interior designer should not stand unequivocally against the use of graffiti art, rather, he/ she should advocoet expanding up the process of creativity and innovation in contemporary interior emptiness.
