Abstract

Arab Shemag, which is part of the Gulf culture, reflects the country's culture identity and history to the extent that it could indicate the country to which it`s wearer belongs based on the color, design and the way you wear it. The research aims to find out to what extent the aesthetics of the Arab Shemag can function as a source of inspiration for fashion designers, and how you can achieve the Arab identity through modern innovative designs based on three main entrances:

  • The first entrance / designing a whole outfit piece
  • The second entrance / designing a
  • part of the outfit piece.
  • The third entrance /designing accessories for the outfit piece.

The study followed a descriptive analytical applied method. The results were statistically measured, the assumption were proven, and the best design for each entrance were extractedin accordance with the opinions of arbitrators

 and prove the assumptions and extract the best designs at every entrance. The research had the following main results:

  1. The Shemag suits women fation and its accessory.

2. The diversity in using the raw materials for severity Shemag in terms of design, decoration and color achieved high artistic, economic and innovative value
