The covers of the books are considered one of the significant windows out of which the Fine Arts shine,  Moreover, It is a very critical technique of making culture accessible for the public .In fact , the painted cover is the main screen which is first looked upon by the eyes of the reader . The title content and the cultural message can be revealed through the cover. And here comes the critical role of the artist in developing the level of this art, as a way to develop the general appreciation of the readers, and their artistic tasting skill.

Consequently, educationalists and psychologists have turned their attention to the important role of the picture on the cover of the child’s book, for it has a stronger effect on the child’s consciousness than the written word.

The significance of this study is based on analyzing many studies related to different models of the covers of the Arabic children’s books which have images of the old people to find out the effective contribution of these models on distributing and creating value related to old people within the children’s world.

        In addition to that, the study clarifies the artistic and cultural aspects of those models and how they build one of the significant child’s personality in relation to his/her emotions and affections.

To achieve its goals, this paper studies the covers of children’s broke with pictures of old people. The study covers children’s books published in some Arab countries during the second half of the twentieth century and the first decade of this centrary
