Abstract

Objectives: This research aims to identify the importance of Jordan's geography, in both space and time, in the international film industry, emphasizing its role in enhancing the dramatic quality of cinematic works. It also explores the role geography plays in constructing the narrative events of a film, and the significance of cinematic shots in highlighting the beauty of locations in global filmmaking.

Methodology: The study employs both quantitative and qualitative analysis within a descriptive approach, using content analysis to study and analyze the historical development of using Jordan's geography (space and time) in the production of global films and to measure the extent of its use. An intentional sample was selected for the period covered by the research, spanning from 1962 to 1922, focusing on international cinematic films that were shot in Jordan.

Results: One of the key findings of the research is that the director placed significant emphasis on highlighting the effectiveness of geography (both space and time) in the film Lawrence of Arabia, recognizing its impact on the drama of the film's true story.

Conclusion: The conclusion emphasizes the incorporation of space and time elements into the curricula and study plans of cinema and television programs in fine arts colleges. It also recommends including Lawrence of Arabia in the courses offered by cinema and television departments, as the effective use of space and time in the film enhances its dramatic impact.
