Abstract

Abstract

Objectives: this study aims to propose methods for integrating AI tools into the teaching and learning of interior design in Jordanian universities. It also seeks to analyze the impact of these tools on the discipline, evaluate the readiness of academic institutions and students to adopt them, and explore the challenges and opportunities associated with AI implementation in academic courses.

Methodology: The research uses a critical and inferential analytical approach. Data were collected from global experiences and case studies, which were then analyzed to draw final conclusions.

Findings: the study reveals that integrating AI tools in teaching interior design enhances students’ creative skills and enriches the learning environment. Key suggestions for implementation in Jordanian universities include:

  1. Developing instructional mechanisms using AI tools.
  2. Redefining teaching methods, using data analysis and virtual reality.
  3. Enhancing student engagement by using personalized AI-supported applications.

  1. Addressing challenges such as insufficient hands-on training for faculty and the high cost of some AI tools.

Conclusion:

The study advocates for the adoption of integrated educational strategies that ensure the effective and responsible use of AI tools in teaching interior design. It stresses the importance of faculty training, creating advanced digital learning environments, and establishing ethical policies to regulate AI use, ensuring optimal academic benefit without compromising human creativity.
