Designing Exhibition Costumes Inspired by the Traditional Costumes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Abstract
The study aims to analyze traditional costumes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to design show-stopping costumes inspired by them. In this study, the applied analytical descriptive approach was used, where the traditional pieces were described, analyzed and inspired by show-fashions, and the physical sample of women’s traditional costumes in Saudi Arabia with its structural and decorative details were chosen in an intentional way (the section, the dress, the customer, the pants, the headdress, the face and the fashion accessories (the tuff, coins, the drum, the palm fronds). The study targets the audience of the show performances, and the results were a drawing (11) of a show design, which took into account the elements and foundations of the design of show costumes. The questionnaire was designed and judged by (10) arbitrators in the field of specialization. Some of the most important results of the study were: encouraging researchers to study traditional arts in the Kingdom in general and traditional dances in particular, designing show costumes inspired by traditional costumes for men, paying attention to various performing arts in the Kingdom stemming from its heritage and culture, emphasizing the study of traditional costumes associated with the traditional dances and their complements and accompanying movements, and enhancing interest in theaters and exhibition squares in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
