Proposed Program to Develop Musical Accompanying for Students of Oud and Qanoun

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the performance difficulties that face the novice players while playing the accompaniment with another musical instrument.

It also attempted to develop skills of Oud and Qanoun players by developing a clear methodology that contains innovative exercises to learn the accompaniment by these two musical instruments in order to raise their skill performance.

At the conclusion of this study, the researchers were able to formulate five exercises according to certain criteria to achieve their objectives.
