Analytical Study of the Jordanian Puppet Theatre. The Play "I Want to Have Fun, Joy, and Learn" as a Model

Abstract
This research shows the historical importance of establishment of the puppet show theatre in the world of drama. It also presents the terminology and definitions used in the puppet show from different points of views, and investigates the role played by artists in the puppet theater in different countries, and the impact of the development of this art on the Jordanian puppet theater and dolls. The research also surveys the Jordanian experience in the puppet show. The researcher used the play "I Want to Have Fun, Joy and Learn" as a study tool. The result of the research through the analysis of the sample showed that the puppet show theatre in Jordan has a strong and effective influence on the basic dramatic elements in Jordanian theatre, namely, directing, acting, and theatrical script s. It also showed the developed and advanced level the Jordanian puppet theatre reached in terms of lighting, theatre decor, costumes, and music as secondary elements. The researcher recommended exploring and keeping up with all that is new in the puppet show theatre both Arabic and international and its reflection on the Jordanian theatre.
