Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the methods and concept of emotion and self-expression music by highlighting the lyrical heritage and popular lyrical forms in Jordanian society. The human being has the capacity to conceive of the events that affect him/ her, both in their environment and in the surrounding society. Being aware of this reality, and that he has the ability to develop the imaginative images of the environment in which he lives, he/ she highlights his emotional state of consciousness and utilize his/ her physical, psychological, social and emotional energyin his/ her writing.

The ability to continue to work contributes to the development of the artistic creation process, and because of the significance of the concept of emotion and self-expression music for life in Jordanian society, this study came to illustrate the importance of emotion and musical self-expression, which has a significant impact on the drawing of Monuments of the Heritage Song (Bedouin and Rural), in which art becomes the tool or the means and the message that the artist wants to deliver to the society he belongs to.

The research follows the analytical descriptive approach through the theoretical framework. It discusses concept of emotion and self-expression and examines many musical models. The results showed answers to the research questions about the importance of emotion and self-expression in the composition of the folk song. In the light of his findings, the researcher recommends conducting scientific studies and research on musical and psychological relations especially with regard to emotions and self-expression. Such studieo would involve surveying, collecting, documenting and classifying popular songs in Jordanian society.
