Abstract

This paper aims to propose a theory assuming that Place plays an important role in music in general and has been demonstrates that Jordanian folk song is no exception in this regards. Referring to Bedouin’s and rural songs, the researchers provide evidence showing the strong relationship between the place and Jordanian folk songs from two perspectives: first, by providing evidence to link between place of living and melodic structure, rhythmic patterns, and musical instruments used and, secondly, by providing evidence from the text content of the songs
