Abstract

Abstract

The aim of this research is to shed light on the experience of musical education curriculum authorship in the Syrian Arab Republic, to recognize the mechanisms and the plans used, and the difficulties encountered during the  process of authorship and teaching of the musical education curriculum. The research also suggests the appropriate solutions and discusses the educational field related to this topic. It also discussES the description and analysis of the previous musical education curriculum , to uncover its problems, and to discuss the reasons and forces  which triggered the project of curriculum improvement, In addition , this research discussed the issues of the goals of the musical education curriculum, the way of authoring it, and the main outlines of the modern musical education curriculums. Furthermore analyzes the  content of these curriculums , and discusses the professional plan which the teacher should follow during applying them, as well as the required teaching sources to support the musical education curriculum.

    The author has presented a set of recommendations and results including more training for teachers, new recruitment tests, providing all equipment required to deliver the curriculum, and to increasing the cadre of specialist advisors in this field to accommodate the number of teachers
