Analytical Study of the Biography of Jordanian Artist Salwa and her Musical Heritage
Abstract
This is a biographical study of the Jordanian artist Salwa, who is to be considered the first Jordanian female singer and a pioneer of women singing in Jordan. The study is a track to her musical tender, collecting her songs and offers a scientific analysis of her songs: Lyrics, Melodies, Rhythm, and performance.
The study highlighted Salwa's creativity by tracking her social and professional life and by analyzing her works. All that helped to identify the main characteristics of her songs, and shed light on the aesthetics of her poetic and musical forms.
The study included the emergence of the artist Salwa and her involvement in Jordanian radio, and the substantive relationship between the artist Salwa and her husband, the Jordanian artist Jamil al-Aas, and her local and international participations, as well as awards received.
