Abstract

The study aims to identify the methods and techniques of displaying artworks at the Jordan National Museum of Fine Arts, including the artistic and design principles and the exhibition foundations on which the museum is based, as well as the technologies used. The sample consists of the Jordan National Museum of Fine Arts and the Egyptian Museum in Cairo (Tahrir). To achieve the study's objectives, a comparative descriptive analytical method is employed. Among the key findings are that the collections in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo are arranged chronologically according to historical periods, while the Jordan National Museum of Fine Arts focuses solely on contemporary art themes. Additionally, the Jordan National Museum of Fine Arts places great emphasis on temporary exhibitions, which play a role in enhancing the museum’s activity and visitor engagement. The Egyptian Museum relies on modern technologies and contemporary display methods, whereas the Jordanian museum primarily uses traditional display techniques.
